The Serpent Wall (Zmiyevi Valy) is an earthen earthworks stretching over a length of 2000 km, in the middle of the Dnieper Ukraine. According to researches, the structure would have played a defensive role in the protection of populations against nomadic invasions. Several theories exist on the origin of its construction, in particular on the date, which could date back from the 2nd century BC to the 7th century AD.
