The Wat Xieng Thong is a high emblem of Buddhism and a religious symbol of Luang Prabang in Laos. It is the most historically rich and impressive temple of the city. Initially built by King Setthathirath in 1560, it was later reconstructed due to the numerous attacks it suffered during the 19th century.
