The Dark Hedges are a group of beech trees that form a single, narrow, winding path. The Stuart family wanted to form an impressively long and beautiful entrance to their nearby and home planted them in the 18th century. The trees’ twisting forms catch all sorts of shapes from their dark grey silhouette, thanks to moonlight or sunlight passing through their branches anytime day or night.
