Table Mountain is one of the oldest mountains in the world with an age of approximately 260 million years. To put things into perspective, even the legendary Himalayas are only 40 million years old. The main feature of the mountain is its flat surface peak that stretches three kilometres from side to side with an elevation of 1,085 meters. Edged by impressive cliffs, the mountain offers sweeping views of Cape Town and breathtaking sunsets.
