Sule Pagoda

Located in Yangon, Myanmar; the Sule Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa that, according to the legend, was built over 2500 years ago when the creator of Buddhism, Gautama Siddhartha (Buddha), was still alive. It served on several occasions as a gathering place for pro-democracy demonstrations, including during the 1988 uprisings or the Saffron Revolution of 2007.
