Located in Krakow, Poland, the St. Mary's Basilica was built at the beginning of the 14th century. The basilica's interior is richly decorated with paintings, most notably those by Jan Matejko, one of the country's major painters in the 19th century. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the building is one of the best examples of Polish Gothic architecture.
