SHIPSTERN'S BLUFF

Located on the southern point of Tasmania on Cape Raoul, Shipstern’s Bluff is renowned as one of the most challenging and dangerous surf spots. In fact, coming mostly from groundswells, the waves’ complicated structure makes the surfing conditions particularly difficult. Though originally thought of as a myth, it was brought to the international spotlights in the early 2000s thanks to Andy Campbell and David Guiney. Since then, the best seasons to experience clean and consistent waves remains March and autumn.
