“Piazza della Scala” is a famous square in the center of Milan, connected to the principal city place through the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. Initially, a street facing the Teatro de la Scala was turned into a plaza after significant restorations were undertaken in the 19th century. An Italian architect and historian, Luca Beltrami, designed certain buildings surrounding the square, including the Palazzo Beltrami and the Banca Commerciale.
