Pha That Luang

The Pha That Luang, also called the "Great Stupa," is considered the most significant and holy monument in Vientiane (Laos’ Capital City). With an impressive 45 meters tall and 69 meters long, the Buddhist temple designed in a pyramid shape and covered with 500 kilos of gold was built in the 16th century. However, due to foreign attacks, the stupa has gone through numerous reconstructions yet still remains as magnificent as it once was.
