The Palace of Culture and Science is a cultural and educational center in Warsaw, Poland. The building was erected during the Stalinist period between May 1952 and July 1955. The tower is 237 meters high and ranked 5th amongst the tallest buildings in the European Union. It houses cinemas, theaters, universities and libraries.
