Newgrange

Located 5 miles outside of Drogheda, Newgrange is a place with great astrological, religious and folkloric importance. Built with layers of earth and stone around 3200BC, it makes this mound even older than Stonehenge or the Great Pyramids. Newgrange appears in folklore stories and myths as a place hosting the tombs of ancient kings or even mythic deities. The mysteries surrounding Newgrange still attract thousands of visitors every year.
