As Uganda's largest national park, Murchison Falls National Park occupies about 3,893 square kilometers of land, spanning from the shores of Lake Albert to the Karuma Falls. These falls are the site for Uganda's largest power project, the Karuma hydroelectric dam. On the other hand, Murchison Falls is the name of the other major and most famous fall of the park.
