Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

Built for Pharaoh Hatshepsut after her death in 1458 BC, the mortuary temple is located in the Valley of the Kings, near other mortuary temples like Mentuhotep II’s. The temple was first known in the early 18th century, however it was in very bad condition. Since 1961, archeologists, conservators and many other specialists have been working on its reconstruction.
