Lake Toba

Lake Toba, the world's largest volcanic lake, is situated in North Sumatra, Indonesia, and is part of UNESCO's Global Geopark list. The lake was formed after a super-volcanic eruption that greatly affected the global climate approximately 74000 years ago. According to scientific sources, it is the largest volcanic eruption the earth has seen in the last 25 million years.
