Created in 1961, the Lake Nakuru National Park covers an area of about 188 square kilometers centered on its eponymous lake. Located in west-central Kenya and adjacent to Nakuru town, the alkaline lake is famous for its “pink water surface”, impression made by the large number of flamingos inhab-iting the area.
