Kronborg Castle

Kronborg Castle, located in Helsingør (Elsinore), Denmark, is one of the most important Renaissance castles still standing in Northern Europe. Many also call it “Hamlet’s Castle” since it is the setting of William Shakespeare’s famous play. Built in 1420, it was damaged and reconstructed many times since then. In 2000, the castle was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
