Kastellet

Located in Kastellholmen, central Stockholm, Sweden, the Kastellet is a military building erected in 1845 after an old fortification exploded on the exact location. Designed by Colonel Carl Fredrik Meijer and revised by Colonel and architect Fredrik Blom, the building comprises several cannons used during World War II to repel air attacks. Since 1935, the Kastellet has been classified as a historical state monument.
