First passed in July 1862, the Jungfraujoch is a locally well-known glacier saddle connecting the Jungfrau and Mönch 4000ers. Located on the upper snows of the Aletsch Glacier, it is accessed by the highest railway in Europe, the Jungfrau line, and is home to the Sphinx Observatory and the Top of Europe complex.
