Jet d'Eau

First built in 1886, the Jet d’Eau was modified and improved up until 1951, finally enabling it to blast water to an altitude of 140 meters and to pump it directly from the Leman Lake. The fountain is one of Geneva’s most famous landmarks and can even be seen when flying up to 10 kilometers above the city.
