California State Capitol

The California State Capitol is located in Sacramento and is the seat of the government of California. The building houses the office of the Governor of California, as well as the chambers of the California State Assembly and California State Senate. The building's exterior is designed in a Neoclassical style, while the interior is that of a Victorian style. Completed in 1874, its architecture was greatly inspired by that of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
