Protected by and named after its large granite boulders, Boulders Beach is an extra special attraction near Cape Town. One of the only places in the world where travelers can meet African penguins, Boulders beach saw a colony settle on its soft sand in 1982. Since then, the penguins remained on the beach and attract an average of 800,000 visitors every year.
