Badshahi Mosque is a Mughal-era mosque located in the heart of the old city of Lahore, Pakistan. Built by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1673, it is the most ancient and famous mosque of the city. It was built at the site where Emperor Aurangzeb's father, Emperor Shah Jahan, originally conceived his idea for the Shalimar Garden.
