Designed by Kenzo Tange and meant to represent an integrated circuit, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building was finished in 1990. Once the tallest building in Tokyo at 243 meters high, it remains since its creation the highest city hall in the world. Though mostly made of government offices, it features two observation decks open to the public on top of its towers, where visitors can purchase souvenirs and enjoy drinks.
