Munnar is a hill station located in the southernmost part of the Western Ghats in India. The town is primarily commercial and has a population of around 30,000. The Tea Gardens comprise tea plantations that cover an elevation range of 1,600 to 2,400 meters. The estates in this region produce about 30% of India's total tea production.
