Originally called Sacopenapã until the 18th century, Copacabana is a neighborhood located in the city of Rio de Janeiro and renowned for its 4km long beach, one of the most famous in the world. Many events are organized there every year such as New Year's Eve, which offers millions of visitors one of the most impressive fireworks shows in the world.
